I have heard about many seasons but this one is a bit different bcz this is Marry season. Lots of my friends going to be marry in the span of 1 week. On Valentine day pals going to be engaged, marry what a great week. Wishing a Happy Married Life Ahead to all who are going to be marry in a Valentine week. 10th Feb would be remember for Brothers Day as Hussey brother made it for Australia and same day Pathan brother do the same for India. What a fabulous T-20 match b/w
It was a Do or Die Friday for us. Geometric A team playing 2nd knock out match in Goadrej Golden Jubli Corporate tournament 2008 against one of the favourite team of the tournament , i.e. Godrej Infotech A. We were in full confidence because we won our first match against Godrej Prima team in first round and they were also in the favourite's race. We had a bit idea about the team because we are participating first time in the tournament. Well, we had a good bowling attack with depth in batting.
So time came for the toss and unfortunately our captain Renjith loss the toss and we had to bowl first. No worries, we had a good bowling attack. I started first over and it was good because they scored only three with bat but :( I gave three extras. So score is 6/0 after one over. After that we started attack and push them in back foot. Our bowler did a great job with full support of the fielders. At one moment it was very tough to score even fifty runs for Infotech A but finally they managed to score 51 runs in 8 over's with lost of eight wicket. Not bad start from our side. Now we have to chase just 52 runs, looks very easy on the board. But very first over we lost two wickets in two consecutive bowls. Now we are in back foot. But after that I and captain started to take single and double and after four over scoreboard display 24/2 after 4 over. We are in good condition and all pressure is in Infotech A. Now match turning point, in 6th over we lost 4 wickets which include a hat-trick from Infotech A captain and one run out. Now required is 18 in two over's with two wickets in hand. What a great bowling by Captain or we can say that what a poor batting from such a strong team, whatever. Finally we lost the match by 7 runs. Such a close, tough and heart beating match. Both teams are equally strong and the team who played well won the match. We are very disappointed because we worked hard for the match. No probs... Better luck for next time :(
